RCC held a demonstration at the Presidential Plaza in downtown Chicago to raise awareness of persecution of Rohingya in Burma. Attended by over 200 people. There was notable media presence.

Eid al Adha Celebration was held at RCC. Eid prayers were held and food was prepared onsite at RCC for 200+ people. In accordance with Muslim custom of giving meat to the needy on this holiday, packets of meat were distributed to almost 150 people in Chicago. In addition, RCC raised funds for cows to be slaughtered in Myanmar for the poor there. In Arakan, RCC fed hundreds of destitute families and provided them with meat, some who had not had meat in years.Read More
RCC was invited to attend US Global Leadership Coalition foreign policy lunch at Intercontinental Chicago hotel. We met with Senator Durbin personally, and spoke about the persecution in Burma, and the presence of RCC.Read More
