During the COVID-19 lockdown RCC made the difficult decision to keep our doors open. Our staff recognized that given the language and education barriers, help via phone was not feasible. RCC continued with much needed Case Management but we also educated our community on the dangers of COVID-19, taught and practiced safe protocols, and worked with multiple organizations and clinics to provide onsite testing, vaccines, and boosters. In 2021, conducted over 2,000 COVID-19 tests and 488 COVID-19 vaccines and/or boosters. In 2022, we completed over 1,500 COVID-19 tests and over 200 COVID-19 boosters. We held vaccination events at our center where all in the surrounding area were welcome to receive their vaccinations. Our community lives in the high risk red zones, yet we are proud to say the incidence of illness was extremely low.
The bonds we made with multiple health organizations, such as Swedish Hospital, allowed us to expand health services. RCC now hosts Health clinics and screenings, eye exams, and vaccinations, and interactive health related workshops.
In 2022, we completed quarterly health screenings, 20 informative sessions, and workshops relating to nutrition, heart health, diabetes, mental health, addiction, and more.
