Rohingya culture Center is collecting Qurbani/udhiya this year for Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh and Rohingya in Burma.
In Rakhine province in Burma where the Rohingya live it’s particularly rare for them to eat meat. Many of their livestock were stolen in 2017 by the Burmese authorities. There are local embargoes on Muslim communities by the larger Buddhist population. So the animals have to purchased and brought it from outside Rakhine.
Within the Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh, the primary diet consists of rice and lentils which is rationed by the UNHCR. Due to the lack of income and affordability it is rare for the refugees to have meat.
Thus for the Rohingya this holiday is the only time in the year when they eat meat. Please consider donating your Qurbani to them. Cost is $100 per share. Use the attached link to donate via PayPal.
